We Made A Big Move: A New Office for a Growing Team
In many ways, 2020 was a challenging year. However, because of these challenges, 2020 was for many of us a catalyst for growth — personally, professionally, and as organizations. And no, we’re not just talking about learning how to bake sourdough bread. We’re talking about learning new things, acquiring new skills, and reimagining how we conduct day-to-day business transactions by using technology to adapt to the changing times.
At Dottid, we not only survived the challenges of a global pandemic, we thrived! We grew as a company as more and more organizations began seeking cutting-edge technological solutions to manage their assets and develop new processes during the pandemic.
In the last year alone, we have added tens of millions of square feet of office and industrial properties nationwide to the Dottid platform. We have raised an additional $4.5 million in our latest round of capital funding, which brought our total funding to $8.4 million and generated positive coverage by The Dallas Morning News. And our team grew from seven people at the beginning of 2020 into a team of over 20 people as of June 2021.

As a result of our growth, we took a lease on a space of 5,500 square feet — double the square footage of our previous space in Campbell Centre. Our new office is at 8333 Douglas Center, in the heart of Dallas’ esteemed Preston Center neighborhood. Because the CRE industry has a significant presence in the area, this move allows us to better serve our current clients and reach new industry professionals who are interested in gaining an edge in the marketplace.
From identifying a suitable space to organizing a move-in day, we experienced first-hand the lease execution process and how technology can facilitate a smooth, time-saving experience as the deal gets done. Our new office is the perfect fit for our growing team — it has all of the amenities we requested and then some. We have already found it is a terrific space for fostering team collaboration and building a positive company culture. With plenty of room for standing desks and a ping-pong table, our office can facilitate birthday celebrations and many white-boarding sessions.
But the thing we love the most about our new office? It is a comfortable, welcoming space which allows us to host our clients, partners, and team members for more engaging, more productive conversations. In fact, conversations like these have shaped our company’s identity and inspired each of our product launches — and that, in turn, has fueled our company’s growth, making us the trusted provider for cutting-edge technological solutions in the commercial real estate industry.
