Catherine Rodewald
Catherine Rodewald is the former President and CEO of Prudential Asset Resources and Managing Director of its parent company, Prudential Mortgage Capital Company. In this role, she was responsible for loan closing, servicing and asset management for Prudential Mortgage Capital Company’s $70 Billion commercial real estate loan portfolio, as well as the organization’s technology strategy and business systems. She led a staff of 190 associates located in offices throughout the country and overseas.
Prior to joining Prudential in 2002, Catherine served as the Chief Information Officer for Hunt Consolidated, Inc., a privately held, international organization with holdings in oil and gas, utilities, real estate, and financial services. Reporting to the CEO, she was responsible for formulating and guiding worldwide technology strategy (US, Canada, Yemen, Peru) and for transitioning the company’s technology infrastructure to prepare for supply chain integration and to transact business electronically on a global basis.
Earlier in her career, Catherine served as Sr. Vice President and Chief Information Officer for AMRESCO, Inc., a diversified, international real estate and financial services organization operating across 140 offices in 4 countries.
Well known throughout the commercial real estate finance industry, Catherine held many positions of leadership with the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization, and the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council. She provided expert testimony regarding lenders’ critical need for written evidence of property insurance coverage throughout the country before state legislative bodies and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. In 2009, she was presented with the Mortgage Bankers Association’s highest recognition, the Distinguished Service Award.
Also active at the state and local levels, Catherine was appointed by Governor Rick Perry and served the State of Texas for 11 years, initially as a member of the board of directors of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, and later as one of 7 Commissioners providing oversight to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. In addition to serving as the board chair for the foundation of Dallas County’s public hospital system, Catherine has served on the boards of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Women’s Foundation, the Dallas Chapter of the International Women’s Forum and the Dallas YWCA.
Her significant awards include the Athena Award presented by the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Business Journal’s Top 25 Women in Business Award, Real Estate Forum’s National Women of Influence Award, and Northwood University’s National Distinguished Women Award.
Catherine graduated summa cum laude from Northwood University.
