Steven L. Bean

Steven L. Bean, CFA, last served as Vice Chairman at SitusAMC where he was responsible for leading their commercial real estate business development and consulting teams. With over 35 years of multifamily/commercial real estate experience, the focal points of his career include entrepreneurialism, technology, strategy, mentoring, culture, and being a people connector. Steven’s themes are “Doing Something That Matters” and “Removing Systemic Friction”.

While at SitusAMC for 14 years, Steven started and led several operating divisions and focused on global client acquisition and retention. With Steven’s leadership, SitusAMC became the leading independent provider of commercial & residential real estate due diligence/advisory, loan servicing, valuation, talent management, and technology solutions, supporting the full life cycle of real estate debt and equity for institutional investors/lenders.

Before joining SitusAMC in 2006, he was Senior Vice President for Global Realty Outsourcing, where he led the commercial real estate capital markets division and built a team combining on-shore and off-shore staff. He was a key leader in the management team that was the first to create an Indian off-shore service delivery platform in commercial real estate. Additionally, he held a senior leadership position at GMAC MortgageRamp (fka Univest Financial Services) and was a senior bank examiner at the Office of Thrift Supervision/FHLB-Atlanta.

He is a member of the Commercial Board of Governors at the Mortgage Bankers Association and sits on the Advisory Board of the Leonard W. Wood Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flager Business School where he graduated with a B.S in Business Administration.
